About to complete an oil change on my db11. Standard oil change or anything special I need to know about?
Thanks for the info.

I thought all came with a 5 year service pack as part of the purchase price. No need to do yourself?

It may be 3 hours but I am sure the resale value on a car that new will plummet without a main dealer history.

Main dealer service records have minimal effect on prices here in the USA. Very few cars have paperwork, and very few really care.

You are so lucky! Here every one is brain washed by a full MD service history being essential where as imo every time the car goes to a MD they dont do the job properly if at all and can even damage the car, Note this is just some of my personal experiences.

Does that encourage, keep a car for 5 years, not service at all, then sell without paperwork ?
Hoping the buyer does not check the colour of the engine oil.

I don’t think so. Exotic car buyers tend to baby their cars and change oil frequently. Because of the low miles typically accumulated, oil, especially synthetic, can do its job for quite some time before needing to be changed. Lots of us do it ourselves, no dealer needed. Cars that are more likely abused are those on lease that do not come with free service during the lease period. Who wants to pay a Land Rover dealer $300 for a $100 service at a local garage.

It must be a pain to have your nearest dealer 3-hrs away.... don’t you have a good specialist nearby?

The thing with a good service location beyond the oil change is they will spot any issues with the car and then there is the official service actions and software updates..here is an example of the main ones carried out on a 17MY DB11 so far..... (appreciating most were in 17/18). Although a good dealer should be able to check your car’s update history via the vin, to see if any are due...... smile
