On my way back to the fold!
Discussion
Hello boys and girls! Most of you probably won’t remember me, but I used to own the cheapest and highest millage V8v known to man. I saw her for sale about 18 months ago with a staggering 125k on! She’s had her reg changed now, so sadly I’ve lost touch.
Ever since she went, I’ve been ha keeping to get back in the seat. Well, fingers crossed it’s happening in the next few weeks. I’ll hopefully be the owner of a 2008 Vantage Roadster, and I can’t wait! I have slight reservations about it being a sport shift, however, the price is right - and I’m dying to get behind the wheel of another AM!!

One thing I need to ask though, is there a way to measure the wear on the clutch?
I am sure that I have heard people on here say, the wear can be measured with Sportshift.
Hopefully someone can provide more details.
Glad you have returned to Aston Martin ownership.
Enjoy your new car.
So, in a strange turn up for the books, a contender has arisen! Another Vantage, 6 months older, 20,000 less miles, not as good condition (sometimes how so like them, I get them rough, tart them up, and when I’m done I’m quids in). It’s cosmetic stuff, apparently in excellent mechanical order (I’ll be the judge of that in Friday). But what’s really attracting me, is it’s got 3 pedals 😍 Plus it’s 15 minutes from my house, not 4 hours like the other one. I can see me owning it by the weekend!

Nice, fingers crossed!Hi OP
Did you take the plunge and buy the roadster ?
I’m looking to come back to Aston , had a V8V then a V12V.
Looking for an older model circa £30k , so it’s either a manual 4.3 coupe or possibly SS roadster. I do like the idea of top down , but the shape of the coupe still draws me in.
Probably a quick trip to BR for a dual clutch once I get it. Want to drive and not worry about it like I did the V12, so not looking for perfect example

and the Sportshift.... always use the paddles like a manual gear lever and avoid auto D .. then all will be well
