Apologies if this subject has been covered before but I am due an MOT next week and feel sure that the tyres will need replacing as they were borderline last time and I really have trouble in utilising the cars' full potential with the current P Zero Corsa's. Can anyone suggest the best option for replacement?
The only two tyres officially approved for V12V are the Pirelli PZero Corsa and the Pirelli PZero. The PZero is a more useable alternative all year round than the Corsa, generally giving better grip except for those perfect dry hot sunny days.
However the Mitchelin Pilot Sport 4S (PS4S) is an even better tyre all round than either, and also available in V12V sizes. It is however not officially approved.
I fitted PS4S to V12VS and no regrets.
Hope this helps.

Ian,
the other alternative is the Continental Contact Sport 6 which apparently is also a great tyre.
I have PS4S on mine.
This makes for interesting watching and might help

I purchased my V12 Vantage and once home I started to think that the V12 was substantially inferior to my previous V8s in terms of traction and handling.
I looked at the tyres and they all had very good tread but were nearly 10 years old.
As you have I looked on here where many pointed out the benefits of the PS4S tyres so went for them myself.
To say I was impressed is a complete understatement and although that is 90% down to the old tyres being degraded by there age I can now compare the tyres to brand new originals I've had fitted to my V8's.
My V12 seems every bit as good ride and noise as the V8s and traction/confidence on a wet road is exceptional.
The fact that you can get these tyres in the correct size for the V12 means you can no longer justify buying a V8.
These tyres are better than the new Bridgestone I've had but cant comment on the Continentals.

The PZero are rubbish
yep, I had one experience in the wet where the whole car went sideways in a corner - fortunately wasn't pushing too hard as they felt slipperyThe PZero are rubbish
PS4S as soon as I could after that
much improved and progressive in the wet - have never lost front traction (the rear - well tahts another story0

I have the regular PZeros on mine and apart from the odd loss of traction at the rear now and then I find them to be perfectly acceptable. I’ve no experience of the PZero Corsas but when I bought my car it had Michelin tyres on it. I’m not sure which variant, but they were well worn, so I had the AM approved regular PZeros fitted about six months later. The problem with the original six speed V12V is the rear damping. It’s very stiff and non adjustable. With a heavy right foot, I suspect no tyre is totally capable of preventing problems. The only real solution is adjustable damping, which can be retro fitted by a company like BR. Imho I think AM knew the damping could be an issue, which is why the V12VS was fitted with a switchable system as standard. PS4S as soon as I could after that

Hi Ferdi,
I would be very interested to see your bold choice in wheel colour, I’ve also got a volcano red (V12VS), I’ve never been a massive fan of black wheels so very interested to see what else works.
Cheers,

Excuse the crap pic, will take better ones when weather improves & car washed! Also had the MPS4S fitted which felt a massive improvement on my drive home.I would be very interested to see your bold choice in wheel colour, I’ve also got a volcano red (V12VS), I’ve never been a massive fan of black wheels so very interested to see what else works.
