Been watching prices of this model for some time and cant help but notice the asking prices have remained stable for the past 9 months. 2014 6 speed seem to be iro 90-95k whilst 2015+ are around 100-120k Do you think this model will hold its value more than say DBS? It is after all, more special/better driving etc. Longer term values??

I am hoping Gen 2 Coupe's have too, as I am in the process of buying a 2014 car.

They're getting to that age where they might hold for a year or so before maybe losing a bit more.

However, like you say, they're very special cars and the last of their kind made by Aston, not too many made and they were the Halo car retailing new at £200k+

Possibly this is the most accurate prediction.

She says, "Own, treasure and enjoy, for long into the future".
We are all lucky to have such wonderful cars.

Gen 2 Vanquish seems have been quite resilient and there will be some fluctuations on this against volante/coupe/6sp/8sp.

They have lost a huge amount of value from new when they were £200k + so makes sense they should bottom out a little at where they are now and as such some of them will be a reflective bargain.

They don't have the cachet of the 2008+ DBS as yet but I have a feeling they will have their own place as the last of the naturally aspirated V12's and only fully carbon fibre model so that might come in time.

Interesting to see how they fare with DB11 and whether DB11 as a newer car (but cheaper from new) will drop below Vanquish prices as a few are starting to - although this is also down to mileage sensitivity etc too so all a bit too early to tell I imagine.

Whichever you own though - love them, drive them, enjoy them.

If she suspects that you want Vanquish prices to increase, the fee will be her Premium rate.

As top of the range, I would have thought the more relevant comparator would be the DBSS?

Cheapest “Timeless” DBSS Volante now £190k vs £140k for the cheapest (only!) Vanquish S Volante that is two years older (you can go cheaper on the non-s). I could see a potential DBSS buyer having their head turned by that.

You might like to compare with a left hooker...

I had been tracking them for a few years before I found the one I wanted and took the plunge

When I first started looking (2015/6) the S variant hadn't been released and there were lots of choices for both the 6sp and 8sp with prices varying from 155k - 250k GBP.
A quick check now reveals that there are a lot of the older gen 2 Vanquish's from starting around 100k GBP for the coupe with the volante commanding a higher price.

I brought mine from Switzerland (2017 S volante) 18 months ago and paid itro 200k GBP on the road including French import tax (ouch) and a quick survey shows they are as rare as hen's teeth. - the conclusion that I'm coming to is the later versions seem to be holding steady and as a left hooker actually increasing in value due to the fact they are hard to find.

All of the above notes relate to LHD cars only.

I'd be interested to hear any other owners thoughts on the this subject - especially anyone with a left hooker.

Bottom line - I'm not really that interested in the $ value as she's a keeper and there to be driven (once we get over this pandemic).
