As per title, what should one be aware of?

Specifically a late model Vanquish S i.e one of the last to roll out of Newport Pagnell factory

If it's not been stored correctly the front subframes can corrode and take one on an extended test drive before buying to make sure its for you, don't click and collect

You are best visiting the AMOC forum to ask this question. There is an awful lot to consider if you are looking at the original Vanquish and the best place to find the experts is there.

Fortunately there is a lot of expertise on the original Vanquish in the uk. You need to have your eyes wide open if you are going to buy one.
I have what is considered a very high mileage example and love it, fantastic car.

I had a good chat with an owner this week discussing Vanquish issues and to quote Bamford Rose on one of their videos they are most definitely "Divas ", requiring pampering and regular up keep .
I've hankered after one for years but I'm not sure I'm ready for a Diva .

I think a lot of issues are down to lack of use - the more regularly used ones seems pretty reliable.

As mentioned, the AMOC site is the place to go for info. The original Vanquish is an epic car. It does need proper looking after, but no more so than other similar cars from the same period. I've had mine for almost 6 years and love it -- it's a very special thing.

I'd suggest giving Mike at Bamford Rose a call for the complete run down!
