What's happened to Redpants ?
Discussion
I always enjoy seeing his blogs and Youtube content and have had some valuable tips and insight on various aspects of maintaining a Vantage.
It appears he's been banned from 6 Speedonline and I haven't seen any further updates regarding his road trip.
Hopefully he's ok - these are tough times and he's been through some major upheavals.

As above, I've been going through a massive transition period.
Over the course of three weeks, I did a nearly-4200 mile roadtrip across the US that included a cracked radiator two unusable replacements, a broken tooth with two trips to the dentist, two impromptu airfare bookings, the return of some family health issues, getting covid and spending several days in quarantine including during Christmas, selling my house in Florida, temporarily relocating to the other side of the US, the shipping company losing some key/irreplaceable items, and prepping for a move overseas... and that's just the main stuff.
Right now, I've got a video for the radiator that I'm trying to get finished up, and plans for 3 more videos within the next month. If I can get my missing computer back from the shipping company, I'll have another couple videos I can make, otherwise I'll have to find a way to recreate one without being able to do the job itself, and reshooting the other for a job I need to do again on my car anyway. Trying to smooth out some wrinkles with my new online store while also adding more products in (pretty limited at the moment), plus getting a completely new website built from scratch. I've got a few more projects in the works for my car, including some awesome suspension stuff, some track-oriented stuff, and possibly some braking stuff, but that's all in a holding pattern due to the pandemic.
Beyond that, just stupid busy with everything for way too long. Some of the stuff I've been working on is already paying off and things are running more smoothly because of it (on the back end of things, not that anyone else would see it - but it's a big difference for me).
I've been a sponsor on 6speed since shortly after I started Redpants and had a card on file with them to auto-pay it. The card expired and my account got locked out for non-payment. I emailed them about it but I didn't followup after that because of all the stuff I've had going on - I extremely rarely get on 6speed or PH anymore due to time constraints and being mentally taxed with everything else on my plate, so it wasn't high on my list of priorities to chase down.
But yeah, all's well... or at least as well as can be expected given... everything.... lol.

Sorry to read that you have been/are coping with so many difficulties at once. I don't know whether you have employees to help you Rich, but too much to deal with can soon become stressful.
You have mentioned a move overseas. Do you want to tell us the name of your new country?
Hope everything will become easier for you.

Hahaha it could've been much easier and less expensive... My own comment on the video:
"Truth be told, I brought much of this on myself.
Yes, owning an Aston Martin can be a tedious thing, but this would have been far simpler had I just ordered a one-for-one replacement of my radiator when my original one first cracked. Instead, I ordered a Jaguar one. The reason for buying it instead of an Aston one was because of the huge cost savings - not only would it save me a bunch of money, but I could also sell them to save other Aston owners a ton of money, too. Something I do that most people don't see (or know about) is buying and testing parts to see if they're valid replacements for the Aston ones, which makes life easier for the Aston owners community. Sometimes, the risk I take with the money I invest in these "test" products pays off. Sometimes, it doesn't. After spending an absurd amount on hotels, food, cough alcohol *cough*, and flights while waiting for my Jaguar and Aston Martin radiators.... that risk definitely did not pay off. But in the end, I do things the hard way so you guys can learn from it and hopefully have an easier and less expensive ownership experience.
The cracked radiator and getting covid was outside of my control, sure, but ordering multiple radiators and what came along with that was entirely my own doing."
I tried a non-Aston part as a replacement, then got covid, then ordered the wrong parts while sick and f'd up the part number, plus the holidays, plus all the other crap I was (and still am) dealing with... things can go sideways very easily. Things happen, plans fall apart, projects go wrong... at the end of the day, it's part of the adventure. I fail at many things, constantly. But at the end of the day, I just want to be able to survive the life I'm putting myself through.
... that makes sense in my head.
I spent a lot of time on that video to make something I ended up completely discarding... well over 10 hours of hard editing down the drain let alone sorting through the video and coming up with plans and ideas for how to manage the numerous restarts and do-overs. I was trying to make a DIY video, while also trying to explain what was going on. In the end, I was really happy with the story I told in the video. The DIY stuff is there, and also the saga of what I went through. What I hope to get across beyond just showing how to work on the car is that sh t happens and we get through it the best we can.
I was extreeeeeemely fortunate to have Bruce to hold me up through this. Honestly, I'd have had a very unpleasant time with this if he hadn't been there. Er, if I hadn't been there. I learned about a year ago that I'm going to fail badly at doing everything myself and I need the right people on my side. I've spend a full year getting things rearranged to make that happen, but each day is a new challenge - and that day, I had the right person.
That's a lot of non-requested stuff but hopefully it's meaningful given the thread topic...
