DB11 driver's window slow to come up
Discussion
Hi. First post here. I have a 2018 DB11 that I just purchased in October. The warrantee expired November 28th. I am just now starting to drive it (spent several months in the hospital). As the weather has gotten colder here, I'm finding that the driver's window has a hard time coming up and out of the door. It eventually peaks up after 5 seconds or so. It comes up slowly to about half way up and then raises at normal speed.
Has anyone else experienced this issue, particularly in colder weather (around 32 F) or lower?
Also, does anyone think AM may fix this gratis as a good will gesture? I've just contacted my local AM Service/Parts Director and he's going to contact AM about it. Regards.

Not trying to be a smart ass but as far as I know your car should have 3 years' transferable manufacturer's warranty from new. If the car was a Jan 2018 car then it would only just be out of warranty.
Even if you're right and if you bought it privately I think as you've been in hospital it would be a hard-hearted dealer who wasn't interested in doing business with you who would turn you away.

As mentioned, I would ask AM to fix the window which they hopefully will.
If they don’t, the most likely cause is that the rubber seals that guide the window are dry thus causing excess friction. I had a similar problem on one of our cars. Quick internet search recommended spraying silicone spray down the rubber guides at the front and back of window. The silicone spray can had a long this nozzle on it which made application easy.
The windows now slides up and down perfectly. Hope this helps.

My advice would be not to even contemplate doing this, even if it might work, until you've spoken to your Aston dealer and exhausted the warranty route. Their attitude to fixing a window system that is not working as intended through seals that are stiff (assuming that's the cause - it could equally be something in the regulator mechanism or guides) and a problem with a window system where the seals have been liberally sprayed with silicone could be entirely different. Thanks for the responses guys. I was just curious if this was a common problem. I'm not sure if it's the window seals since they aren't touching the window in the fully down position when first trying to put the window up. Something to keep in my back pocket.
I'm going to wait for AM to respond to my goodwill request. Warranty End Date: 28/11/2020
.I'm thinking it's more of a regulator or weak motor issue (just my $0.02).

I've had a couple of out of warranty issues with my 2016 DB11 V12, and, both times, my local dealer has contacted AML and received approval to resolve FOC, so I would hope that AML will resolve the issue for you.
First was issue with water coming through middle bonnet grilles in the rain, or after washing, and lighting up EML light. Current issue is the black paint has bubbled and peeled off the horizontal aluminium side strakes? by front wheels
