AM Warranty question.

Wonder how many of us had issues with our timeless inspected cars?
My previous V8VS had an old lunchbox in the back under the seat full of mouldy bread from the previous owners kids, and had to be immediately sent back due to emerging wing mirror corrosion and a briefly misplaced log book. Hardly the top end of attention to detail but I did love the car.
Better keep your inspection and warranty monies for another day, found the warranty was poor value for money, only paid out when a part actually failed. I had an inspection that established the handbrake cable was corroded and due to break. The warranty would not cover soon to be faults, so I paid out for the repair rather than running the risk of driving with no handbrake!
But, I think that the purpose of the inspection is to be sure the car is in tip-top condition 'before' the warranty is applied, That's how read it and would indeed do it if I were the warranty company. Biggest problem for me is unscrupulous dealers who use it as a pay for pair tool once the owner brings up the fault post purchase, yet those same dealers would not issue a warranty on car that was brought to them with faults in isolation. They most likely for example even chipped the car on price when taking in, getting the warranty company to pay for the faults after sale. iyswim.

Which they then get paid to repair. Triple whammy!I'm sure it's no coincidence that both my Vantages generated a significant list of things that needed sorting shortly after purchase and then ran virtually faultlessly thereafter.
