Hi, Guys,

Can anyone confirm if 21" wheels from a 2020 Superleggera will fit on a 2018 Vanquish 'S'? I like some of the Superleggera wheels better than the ones currently on my Vanquish, but the dealership cannot confirm the fitment for clearances, or even bolt pattern. A little help, please? Thanks!

Gen 2 Vanquish Stud Pattern is 5x128, which is basically only Aston fitment.

DBS Superleggera is 5x114.3 which is quite a common stud pattern, so they won't fit without modification.

PS if you do decide to change from your Vanquish S wheels I would be interested in them.

No, I’m pretty sure they’re 5x128.

I have put DBS superleggera wheels on my DB11, so they are the same fitment

I never ceased to be amazed by the accurate and complete responses to rather esoteric questions on this forum. Thanks, guys! Your assistance is greatly appreciated. I am supremely disappointed to learn that I cannot swap to one of the Superleggera wheel designs, though!

Maybe someone makes a modification kit that would allow the wheel change?

I don't dislike the wheels on my Vanquish S, but I just like some of the DBS wheels better, especially the 21" sizing. Looks like they fill the wheel wells a bit better.

Would 21s on a Vanq make the ride a bit more harsh? Seems like that would be getter pretty close to having to worry about rubbing

My understanding is that the DB11, new Vantage etc share the same PCD as the Vanquish 2 and Rapide

So....now I need some guidance on changing my stud pattern to accommodate the DBS wheels. Is that something easy to change by the dealership? Are there plates that bolt on to the existing studs?

Or is this something so complicated that I should just decide I love the wheels that came with the car?

Looks like the DBS is different to DB11
So they won’t fit
Cost thousands to swap hubs brakes etc
However above someone says they do fit.
Seems odd that AM would stick with the old PCD for the DBS only

V8 Vantage PCD 5 v 114.3, 8.5J & 9.5J Offset 49 & 59
V8 Vantage S PCD 5 x 114.3, - I think the same as V8V for front but rears were 10J offset 59.3
V12 Vantage PCD 5 x 114.3, 9J & 11J, Offset 51 & 68
DB9 PCD 5 x114.3, 8.5J & 9.5J, offset 50 & 62
DB9 GT, PCD 5 x 114.3, 8.5J & 11J, offset 42 & 54 - needs to be confirmed
DBS PCD 5 x 114.3 - I think the same as DB9 but cannot confirm 100%
Vanquish 2, PCD 5 x 128, 9J & 11.5J, Offset 42 & 50
Rapide PCD 5 x 128 8.5J & 11J, offset 42.1 & 47.9 - go figure!
DB 11 PCD 5 x 128, 9J & 11J, offset 48 & 55
DBSS PCD 5 x 128 9.5J & 11.5J, offset 48 & 55
V8TT Vantage PCD 5 x 128, 9J & 11J, Offset 48 & 55
DBX PCD 5 x 128 - 10J & 11.5J Offset 56

so I hope that answers the question - some of the earlier responses were incorrect I fear

I believe the DBS is 5 x 114,3

the DBSS is 5 x 128

Have you considered using wheel spacers instead? I did this on a GranTurismo in the past, a car that was slightly under-sized on the wheel front. The spacers did a good job in this respect.

The wheel size/offset you list for the DB9/GT is for the DBS.
The DB9 is 8.5/9.5 and an offset of 50.1/62.5
DB9 GT don’t know. Might be the same as DB9 or DBS (or something entirely different)

So......if I read the “correction list” correctly, the only difference between the 2018Vanquish and the DBSS is the wheel offset?

In which case, the wheels and tires MIGHT fit on the Vanquish S. Now I think the only way to figure out if this is all feasible is to go to the dealer and try swapping out an actual wheel/tire from a DBSS. Go from theory to empirical evidence in one easy move. If only the dealer feels like wasting time on MY little project. I know they are accommodating, but that might be a bridge too far, even for my favorite dealer.

Just another ‘first world’ problem to be solved. So many issues, so little time.

Why not just try the wheels at home
Then no harm done and more time to have a good look at the finished article

When I bought DBSS wheels for my DB11, my dealer tried a set out in the workshop to check everything fitted and sufficient clearance before I bought them, so no harm in asking.

Well, it is always 'something', as they say. It turns out that my dealer does not have a DBS Superleggera in stock, so no chance to try the wheel fitment on my actual car. I will reach out to the factory guys, for their opinion and technical analysis.

I was hoping that going from the stock 20" to the proposed 21" wheels might give me that extra half-inch of front diffuser lip clearance, too. Some of the driveways around here are killers.

Seems like you are confusing wheel diameter with tire diameter. If you want taller, then just mount the next taller tire size on your 20” wheels and save a bunch of money. That's the easiest way to gain ground clearance and fill out the wheel arches at the same time.
