I was the idiot waving on the side of the road

Cleaned the flying brick and the TVR this morning, during which time I crossed the road to talk to a neighbour (good 5 metres apart). He suddenly looked the other side of me and commented on the car coming towards us, a ‘16 plate Vantage... forgetting I was standing by the side of the road I waved like a loon... so, if you were travelling towards Attleborough from Old Buckenham or Diss around lunchtime today the crazy looking old bloke waving was me

Well we don’t see too many Aston’s here

That is the beauty of us driving distinctive cars.

I live in a fairly quiet friendly area, so always polite to wave at neighbours, should they drive past when I am walking.
With so many 'samey' cars now, and also steeply sloping windscreens stopping us seeing faces, I frequently wave at people I think I know, but in reality have never met them.

Marvellous! This is why owning a car like an Aston is so special. Mind you, I find myself waving from the driving seat and 'cool' customers waft by without acknowledgement... I shall continue to wave!!
