As you see, there could be various culprits for the noise. In the case of noisy valve train the expense to fix seems to depend whether it´s the exhaust camshaft or the inlet camshaft. You are lucky that you´ve got the warranty.

The worst case of engine noise would probably be big end failure. Watch this for example:

Of course, all this remains "speculation". A video with the noise would perhaps be helpful. I would advise the main dealer to record a sound file to be sent to Gaydon, anyway (in case they should react defensively).

Had this with a Porsche. A can of sea foam in the oil cleaned out the sludge and fixed the lazy lifter.

I could respond but the OP seems to have deleted their post so I'm not sure what to say - strange.

You've linked my most relevant previous posts Emilio so that probably covers it pretty well. Suffice to say that since transferring the care of my Vantage from the franchised network to a superb Independent, it has run virtually perfectly and I remain a very happy owner.

I wouldn't bother with this because the Aston V8 engine doesn't have hydraulic tappets.
