front pad replacement

Hi all,

I've just had my front pad warning come up on my 2007 V8 vantage. I've replaced pad on my humble old Honda Civic in the past ( it had Spoon 4 pots retrofitted). Is it just as easy on the Astons front pads? The Civic didn't have any pad wear sensors so I'm not familiar with how to connect them up or if I need a dealer tool the reset the warning light?

It’s simple to do. I’d recommend getting some new retaining pins and clips. I got mine from Astonbits. The wear sensors just plug into the pads and connect at a block connector in the wheel arch. Astonbits do wear sensors as well if you need them. Warning light will go off once new pads are in without dealer intervention.

It is an easy job, ^^ good advice here about the cheaper parts. The offside sensor clip in the engine bay is the only bit that can be a bit fiddly. Oh, and make sure you jack the car up safely and using wooden blocks or the pads to make sure you jack the chassis not the sill trim.
