Love my V12VS, but havent been avble to drive it (I mean really DRIVE it) for 4 months now due to Aston Warranty work going wrong and now waiting 8 weeks for replacement parts to turn up - not happy
Think I found a solution of sorts till they fix it
bought this as a daily drive and infill till the V12 is going again
F Type R, 5 litre supercharged V8
Pick it up on Saturday - going to be really interested to see what ist like compared to the V12 (at half the price)

The comparison will be very interesting - normally my suspicion (based upon my own Jaguar ownership over the years past) would be electrical gremlins, and poor interior quality - esp compared to AM, but given you seem to be experiencing a side of AM ownership I have never seen then it just goes to prove the problem with rose tinted glasses and all that!

pointscore for most fuel used, brake temperature after braking etc, penalties for crossing double lines
should be a good test - C63S, V8V, Audi R8 & the Jag

The value proposition is where these are so strong - going from driving a new F-type to test driving a 4.0 Vantage made me really question what the massive extra cost actually bought; the F ticked almost all the boxes just as well (for me at the time). I eventually traded “down” to an old 4.3 at a lower price point which felt like great value again. Top end Vantage vs top end F will be an interesting comparison for sure. I am looking forward to it

This seems (I only know what has been described) to be a disaster, not only for you, but possibly will also reflect badly on the AML brand.
Have you been offered a loan car?
Have you kept AML informed about the very long delay?
AP used to help with difficulties such as this, but we don't know whether the new CEO acts in the same way. Might be worthwhile bringing your bad experience to his attention.

Initial reports of TATA steel subframes and the like put me off, but they remain in my radar if my v12v sells.

I haven't raised it beyond the dealership, and yes they leant me a DB11AMR for a 900km weekend of fun.
Took two months to disguise (hopefully correctly this time) and part of the fix is two custom catch cans which have taken 8 weeks so far to arrive from U.K. Stuck in Singapore customs due to incorrect description apparently which caused AM to be fined. That was after they realised they'd damaged the manifold gasket when re fitting it (second time it went back to them)
It's still throwing emission service codes and running alternately lean and rich
Hope it all comes together soon but in the meantime
