Dust caps - Tyre Valves

Am I missing something obvious here?
A couple of my dust caps have split and need replacing.
These are the OEM parts

What, if anything is different about these dust caps from a generic grey set available from a motor factor or numerous online suppliers that justifies the price?

My cars a 2009 Vantage with the TPMS fitted if that has any bearing.

Pop into your local tyre fitters and they will probably give you four new ones for free like those or perhaps they will be black, ridiculous.

For the TPMS the value has small coloured rings on them so the caps make no difference whatsoever.

I have the silver Aston Martin ones on mine cannot remember what i paid now.

Not sure what the benefit of the dull grey OEM caps is, especially at that price, which is quite frankly ridiculous. I have these ones on mine, and I thought they were a bit of a rip off before I saw your post!

Personally I quite like the black logo as it matches the centre caps and the badges on my car, but as said above, you can get a lot of cheap black plastic ones pretty much anywhere, which will do the job too.

They are just grey dust caps....for £26

buy whatever dust caps you like and fit them. £3 for a set on ebay

Glad I wasn’t missing anything, I couldn’t see anything different from the dust caps fitted to my mountain bike and those on the car. With the price being so high for the OEM parts it just got me wondering.

Tyre shops here in OZ put them on free when you buy new tyres. If you ask nicely they even give you stainless steel ones [ needed for track work]
26 pounds is a rip off; or can pay minimum price for nice ones with Aston wings on them.

Same in Italy, my tyre fitter just put stainless steel ones with his logo on it.

Why do you need stainless steel dust caps for track work?
