Given the original V12 Vantage Zagato was announced to be 101 units, but only 61 ended up being made, you would have thought making one more pair, to get back to the original total of 101 may have made some sense...

St. Gallen certainly become involved on some interesting projects.
During the reviewers drive, he mostly talked about the exhaust noise, not how special the Zagato is.
Seemed a slightly odd commentary, because he could have that identical exhaust noise driving experience, for a fraction of the cost.

I don't know whether it is pure coincidence, but I was told 63 Vantage Zagatos were built (not 61).
Therefore 63 + 19 pairs = 101, the original intended production.
Do 19 pairs represent any other significant Zagato number?

Anyway, I don't think these Zag's are just about the VFM. Even picking up mint GT12 would leave you with a lot of spare change, but that doesn't detract from the appeal of these - well at least not to me.

If anyone knows the correct figure, it would be Tim Cottingham.
I notice Tim said Coventry Prototype Panels bought Zagato in 2011. CPP subsequently ran into financial trouble, so what then happened to Zagato I don't know.
CPP also tried to revive Spyker, but that did not go too well.

Those V8 Q Vantages came to light when the 4th car was offered for sale last year.
The model is on the Vantage table - ref. 2014.

Another one off customer commission was openly revealed by AML, at Goodwood I think.
Vantage GT 12 Roadster. A Swiss owner.
There was a surprise later though, when a second VGT12R appeared. The Swiss owner had also bought the prototype of his own car!
Long-term Middle East investors became involved with AML when Ford sold. It is rumoured that they might have occasionally bought secret models. After AML became a listed company, the annual report had to became far more comprehensive, and I think there have been references in there, to director purchases of motor vehicles.
