Passenger window and door lock

Bought a 2006 V8 Vantage 4.3L manual last year but not used much due to lockdown.

For some reason the passenger door will not open about10% of the time after locking the car, blip the kep fob and the drivers door unlocks but not the passenger door. It won't even open from inside the car.

Then it starts working but the passenger window stays in the slightly open position (when it drops to open the door) and the switch stops working so you have to drive with the window open by 10mm.

Pulling and refitting the fuse in the passenger footwell fuse box resets it and it will work fine for a week then it starts to play up again - any ideas?

A pure guess Nick, but might it be caused by a weakening battery?
Judging by this forum, just a few volts below par, can lead to mysterious electrical gremlins, but still start the engine.
Another thing with your age car, might be the tracker. Think they have rechargeable batteries, which eventually fail. They can be disconnected and revised config file placed in the car's computer.

On the other hand, I might be completely wrong.

I may be wrong but if the battery is ok I suspect the problem is likely to be the door module. They are a well known weak spot on early cars, and I had to have both of mine replaced on my first car which was also a 4.3 V8 (2007). A quick search on here or google should tell you what you need to know. There are posts on here from Mike at BR, plus some YouTube videos out there too. As far as I know there is no option but to replace the module, as it will get progressively worse and eventually it won’t lock or unlock at all. HTH. Good luck.
