Just had a look on AT and there is a N430 2016 manual 26k miles for £64k

Put my car details into WBAC and got an “ offer “ well in excess of what I was offered last year.

Shortage of stock , shortage of manual cars or both ?

I would say the answer is both. Have you looked at the official AM Pre-Owned website recently? The number of used cars available across the range has fallen sharply in the last few months, and in some cases (Vanquish and V12V for sure, possibly some others too) prices have definitely moved up. There are only five manual V8 Vantages (Gaydon cars) on there. Last week I was at my local AM dealer and they told me they are incredibly busy and one of their main problems is finding good quality used stock.

Best Regards

Using Pistonheads Classifieds as a barometer in the V8 Vantage Coupe section they have 59 cars listed today. Only a few weeks ago this figure was above 120.

I was chatting to another Vantage owner recently and they thought the money being asked for Vantages had gone up a little.

I would say the market for all sports car's is strong at the moment - at least 10% higher than say 3 months ago - lockdown easing, summer coming, people have more money to spend, supply is low, lots of factors imo

I've been watching vantage used prices for a few years now, particularly the S and N430. I bought a N420 late last year and continued to see what was out there. I'm glad I bought when I did, asking prices do seem higher, stock seems to sell quite quickly, and cars I would consider are few and far between. I remember from three years ago, a 4 year old N430 Alloro manual with lightweights for £60k, as I recall, I think at Chichester. It seemed to hang around for a while. Today that would go quite quickly I think.

Sorry to break it to you but this is a bubble that will soon burst

Older Astons will only appreciate in value when AML does well financially which is not now or any time soon

Aston Martin leaders have to be optimists.
Lawrence Stroll has recently made a statement;

Aston Martin Executive Chairman Lawrence Stroll said the company is set to produce 10,000 vehicles a year by 2025, adding that the company’s “risks are behind us.”

The Canadian billionaire told CNBC he invested $1 billion in Aston Martin and its Formula 1 team and is confident his turnaround plan is paying off.

“I have delivered on every single thing I said to the public since the day I became executive chairman and far surpassed what I promised,” Stroll said in an interview. “The risks are behind us. We have tremendous growth in front of us and a Formula 1 team to market it.”

No need for us to worry any more. confused

Fingers crossed

Honestly, I didn't buy mine as investment but because I wanted an Aston in my life.

Good for you.

I bought a keeper, so like you, value is of little concern.
However, was pleased and slightly surprised, that it has now lost far less money than an everyday car costing the same amount.
