Noco GB40 Jump starter is on Amazon prime day today for just £66.
It,s well worth the full asking price but at £66 its a bargain. It will start a 6ltr V12 - I bought one last year in the middle of lockdown when my battery died and it started my car instantly, so I cant see why it wouldnt be good for all Aston models.
Thoroughly recommended for peace of mind, and so tiny it just straps into the boot next to the first aid kit.

I was very impressed with it... Its Voodoo, tiny device, charges quickly off a micro USB cable, and then POW!!!!, it has the power to crank and start a 6lt V12 instantly, and according to the handbook 10x before it needs recharging. I have one of these bad boys, and although I've thankfully never needed it to start the Aston, I have used it on a few other cars. Jumped a BMW E30 that was deader than dead.....worked perfectly (read the instructions if jumping something that dead though, as there's a way to do it).
Also helped out some fella at Tesco with a dead battery too......it's nice to be nice
I just keep it charged and in the boot of the Range Rover now.

Yep, got mine yesterday afternoon. Very nicely packaged and looks well made. I haven't read the instructions yet but does anyone know how long these things hold their charge for?I'm charging it now and plan to leave it in the boot of my car until it may be required but this could be anytime.

Hmmm, having been into RC for more years than I care to remember Lipo batteries don't hold their charge indefinitely. If fully charged they will lose this over some time (differs between battery tech used) and most should not be kept fully charged for long periods but kept at approx 50% charge and then charged the rest of the way a day or two before use.I will read the instructions to clarify.

Ha ha ..... I didn't take the instructions out of the wrapper but I haven't yet thrown them. The NOCO we have bought uses Lithium Ion batteries so similar to your cordless drill I guess. A quick check on line states they lose their charge over a period of time. They also lose their ability to hold charge at the same time and this is irreversible. Typical battery life is estimated as being 2 - 3 years. If a battery has been left unused for a number of months (I guess this is true for these products) then you should check the battery condition/status.
It's probably best then to use the product regularly to keep phones charged or some other uses as a charge cycle is one full charge, one emptying and one full charge again. Batteries that are charged used but not fully emptied and then recharged will suffer for this.
