Can a scan tool enable cruise control on the AM ECU?

I would like to buy an advanced scan/programming tool for a 2007 V8 Vantage, but I also need cc enabled. So, to kill two birds with one expensive stone, does anyone know if an advanced scan tool can do this? And/or which scan tool is most helpful for home mechanic routine maintenance otherwise? I do most of my own maintenance and my AM dealer is over 4 hours from me.

I’m not sure even the more advanced diagnostic tools will do this. The advanced tools read live data from sensors etc but I don’t think you can enable/disable/code certain features of the car with them.

There is a tool that plugs into you OBD port that can read fault codes and also unlock some features in modern cars that the owner wasn't able to previously access and this can be done via an App on your phone (cant recall its name) however, I doubt they will do what the OP wants to do.

Cruise can be enabled and disabled on other makes using aftermarket tools such as VCDS for VW/Audi group. All-round many makes scanners almost certainly wont though.
