AM green does not pop enough

Interesting coverage on Aston Martin that there are complaints from hi speed track race sponsors that they should go back to pink as green means they get lost around everyone else.

They say they are going to revisit the green variant to make it pop more.....wonder if that will mean a change for the F1 vantage special editions also - meaning early version will be a short lived version of the green?

I read somewhere that Ferrari subtly changed it's shade of red a while back so it worked better in HD.

Can't say I noticed but there you go.

I understand that it is very noticeable colour and can encourage comment. Might be good for sponsors, or maybe not.

Yes, they have had quite a number of red shades.
Think their current one it is a matte finish.

If this is correct and not just an internet rumour, does this mean the Reichman team wasted the entire year he claimed they spent getting the colour "exactly right"?

In mitigation I suppose HD TV is a relatively new innovation and probably not on a Design team's radar

I think this story began with the water firm BTsomething, who had been the Racing Point main sponsor, wanted their pink colour scheme back. As they are no longer the main title sponsor, they hardly have a say in the matter.
Think the HD aspect is nonsense. It becomes more difficult to see with lower resolution.

Channel 4 does not seem to be HD any more, at least not the satellite transmissions, and I find it is not very easy to distinguish Mercedes from Aston Martin. Both are dark colours on the TV and the quickly recognised Aston Martin wings, are only in the back of the rear wing.
