How effective are your vented seats?

If you have vented seats in your Aston, how effective are they?

I have them in my 2014 Rapide S and while I can certainly hear the fan blowing there is only the barest hint of air flow through the perforations in the seat leather. I'm wondering if I should spend some time and effort to see if something is blocked or if they're just not very good. The seats in my previous (non-Aston) car worked really well and you could feel the air flow through multiple layers of clothing.

In my DB11 i can certainly hear the airflow especially at *** setting. I can feel it too when first switched on but it is not really noticeable once driving which is good.

It certainly works as intended. Even on a very hot day 30 degrees+, I never get sticky shirt syndrome.

I think as long as you realise they are vented, rather than cooled you’ll be fine. Mine work (Rapide) and keep me from damp shirt departures from the car. But when it’s running “barely noticeable” is probably the best description

Much the same as the others - can feel them working in the vanquish but the effect is hardly what I would call a strong cooling action!

Nice to have and you can tell its on but in all honesty not brilliant.

I had to go to A&E once walking like John Wayne as it froze my left bk to my leg. The mark can still be seen to this day. Check your aircon refrigerant is AM approved maybe guys and NEVER turn it up to 11, err I mean 3, if wearing red shorts!

I have vented seats on my Rapide S.

Honestly thought they were not working as could barely feel anything by way of COLD air flow.
Asked AM Works to check them when car was with them and they told me seat ventilation is just fans blowing ambient air through the perforated leather seats rather than the air source being chilled air coming from a/c system.
Seems like others on here seem to concur this is how the ventilated seats work.

I guess this means on a hot day if your cabin temp is 25 degrees it will just blow 25 degree air onto your back so I guess if you want chilled air pumped thru the seats set your air con low and divert cold air to the footwell vents as I think the fans are located in the base of the seat?

One in the base and one in the back - they are like 90mm PC cooling fans. Icy.
