Intermittent alarm vanquish gen2

Help, just today the alarm has gone off at 6am ( quickly got up an£ open and closed doors on key fob), then nothing until 9 pm tonight when it went off again.
Anyone any ideas ? It is not the battery which was the bug bear on my old Porsche which when nearly drained went off and was a b***** to switch off.
This time opened her up and set the engine away, there was a red flashing led to the RHS before firing up now gone. Car stored under an outdoor cover on the drive.
