AM V12 Vantage OUTDOOR car cover recommendation

Seems huge variety on market and big variety of prices too.
Looking for an outdoor car cover for occasional use. Normally car is tucked away but on occasions left out for for few days want to cover up. Any experience/recommendations?

If anyone has a cover they’d like to sell also please let me know..

Established thinking is to leave it open. Unless you’re sat under a tree etc. Wind flapping the material as well as putting on and taking off can cause micro abrasion on the paintwork and any moisture will be unable to evaporate as efficiently as it would being open and in the breeze.

A good wax will do far more to protect the paintwork than a cover in your circumstances.

Hi Jonny. Thanks for comment and advice, The car does have a ceramic coating. There is a bit of security in mind re the cover too, just so slightly less obvious if left out. But take your point on board thank you 👍

I bought a custom stormforce cover from specialised covers for my V8VS, fits like a glove and comes with additional straps if youre worried it might move in wind but i personally find it fits perfectly fine without them. Mostly use it in winter and not seen any issues with paint swirls or damage etc

I have one for sale as well, though across the pond. Meant for Vantage V8 convertible but I imagine it will fit most gen1 Vantages.

Snug fit with four straps to secure it. Waterproof and breathable. The oft repeated claim that covers - at least these covers - scratch your paintwork is an urban legend. I have two of these for different cars, and they don’t scratch.

My vote goes to covercraft weathershieldHP . I have had one on my DB9 for 6 years and it works well. Made specifically to the model of car. Elastic front and back ensures a snug fit, does not damage paint. I selected this one after my AM branded one perished in the sun after a year. A key criteria is that it is anonymous, not obvious what’s underneath
