DB9 Volumetric Tilt Sensor

Hi all,
Just had a dealer quote of £500 to source and fit a replacement sensor that controls the alarm sensitivity to tilt. The part is apparently on back order with AM, but am assuming this is likely a stock Volvo or Ford item and could be DIY. Meantime, Reduced Guard has to be activated every time I park.
Any insights out there about sourcing the sensor and ease to replace ?
