The gentleman on the left, is said to have made his fortune in the fashion industry.
I don't like to be impolite, but talk about slept under a hedge last night.
Are you reminded of that old joke;
"Was your suit made-to-measure.
Where were you at the time?"
(I think I might have just been removed from the V12V priority customer list.)

The person I always thought missed the mark by a sartorial mile was Andy Palmer, irrespective of what you thought of his "Second century plan". Compare and contrast with the CEOs of Ferrari, Mercedes or BMW.
Come on, give him some credit! At least he has not succumbed to that awful trend of wearing light tan shoes and loud, multicoloured socks, no matter the colour or style of the rest of the outfit.
Perhaps if his suit were several sizes smaller and the trousers ended 3 inches higher, you would consider him more dapper and up-to-date, Jon?

If it's linen, it wrinkles. That's linen. Either way, the jacket is too tight/small for him, and he looks like he enjoys food and drink. It's also too short. The trousers are alright. Again, if it's linen, it'll wrinkle. Looks more like cotton though, which is also casual and will not drape like worsted or flannel.
Both of them have jacket sleeves too long—where are their shirt sleeves?
The guy on the right needs his trousers shortening (they should also have a higher rise) and why he's not wearing a tie with that suit I've no idea, but here we are in 2021.
I agree it's not how I would look if I represented AM, but I don't represent them, unfortunately.

Yeah I get that, and whilst it would be certainly true in terms of what he wears in his private life, when you are CEO of a company, no matter what company it is, how you project yourself externally and internally reflects upon the company. That projection includes the choice of clothing when on show for public speaking or photographs. Even on just closed door office days, it will have an impact and bearing on how your team behave and work around you.
Now in some lines of business, a more casual, indeed scruffy look may actually be a really good thing for the business culture, ethos etc... but in the world of top end luxury automobiles, I suspect it isn't.

t, so I don't think it's worth my time to repeat myself. I'll just keep dressing well and enjoy the quick wit of comments such as "are you going to a wedding today?" and the side splitting "what time are you in court?" as well as the somewhat ironic "interviewing for another job?".Simpo Two said:

I know this is how you're supposed to wear jacket/shirt combos but I really hate it when the sleeves of the garment underneath can be seen. It just looks wrong. Like doing just one button up looks wrong if you're standing up. And by wrong, I mean awful. But yeah, I wear what I want when I work.
