Brake upgrade

Hi guys
Picking this 09 vantage 4.7 up this weekend
Advert says that it has new brake disc and pads
I’m sure they look bigger than standard
Nothing on advert about upgraded brakes.

Congrats on the new purchase.

Hard to tell from the pic 100% but agree the front wheels look to have the larger upgraded 6 pin callipers that were introduced on the V8VS and later standard V8s. Congrats if so as they're a pricey upgrade assuming they're the legit AM Brembos. Its easy to count the number of pins on the front callipers if you can get a pic of one of the front wheels.

If you do have the upgraded brakes and the rotors and pads were renewed on the front wheels, you should feel pretty smug as the rotors are certainly not cheap for the upgraded brakes.

Car looks great fella my favourite wheel as well, yes they do look larger some clearer pictures may help but agree with the last post…..

Look standard to me - 09 V8V manual, Sportspack, black with red calipers



Edit - missed the second pic. Those look like 2 piece, so not standard !

Didn’t take to much notice when looking at car,but looking at other models and thinking I’m sure my brakes look bigger.

They look like separate bell and rotor to me. Definitely not what is on my 2011 4.7.

They look like v8’s brakes to me

Definitely the 2 part rotor that came first with the "S" and standard from MY2012.25. Great brakes, the only downside is the price when you come to replace them e.g. £900 each vs £180 !

Yes, those are the 6 pot brakes off the V8S. An expensive upgrade, but very worthwhile!
