Polish Carbon Parts

I've seen postings before on here about the guys in Poland who make various carbon look products for the Vantage.

I've tried contacting them via eBay to ask if the slam panel for the V8 Vantage is real carbon fibre or just a carbon wrap. I'm not getting any replies so wondered if any of you knew the answer.

Also, when I check the fitment details on their eBay site it claims it's not compatible with my car. I have a 2009 4.3 V8, surely it will fit ..... Anyone?

A pure guess, but if the makers fitment is based on Model Years, I think your car might be Model Year 2008 (first registered 2009).
The start of an economic recession at the time, meant cancelled orders and slower sales.
The majority of 4.7 first deliveries, began in September 2008.

Thanks Jon, yes I appreciate my car was probably built in 2008 and was on the cusp of change from 4.3 to 4.7. I've tried putting 2008 as model year into the system on eBay and it still doesn't work.

Assuming it’s from the usual source then it is definitely real CF. Lots of people on here have bought parts from them, and I have too. Michal Pastryk sometimes posts on here, but he’s very active and receptive on Facebook, if you happen to be a user. Probably worth dropping him a message through there if you can. One word of caution though. There may be additional import taxes due because of Brexit. I think the rules change in January though, so the invoicing delay from the courier may be a lot shorter.

Thanks Minglar, I thought they were real Carbon fibre , just that a few have commented privately to me that they thought it wasn't for some reason.

I'm not on FB so can't contact them via that route. I'm happy to pay some additional fees re import costs if required as the price to me for this sort of part is cheap by AM standards.

Sorry, I deleted and reposted a slightly different reply…..I’m no CF expert, but I ordered a slam panel, gear lever surround and a pair of side strakes from them in March of this year. The slam panel is superb and the finish is excellent. It really does make a huge difference when you lift the bonnet. If you take a look at their website there is a contact email address available, and he was very responsive using that method too. Regarding the tax, there was a thread on here a couple of months ago where a poster suggested he wasn’t prepared to pay it. I have no idea what the outcome of that was as I don’t remember seeing an update. My bill took almost six months to arrive, and as I was expecting to pay the additional costs, I settled it as soon as I could, and have heard nothing back since. Stephen (The V12 Way) on here is probably a good person to speak to about the process and quality too, as he’s addicted to CF! If you’re reading this Stephen, only joking.

Aston bits I have used quite a lot over the last year, they can have some deals but on the whole they are a bit over priced generally.

I purchased a slam panel from Michał Pastryk from ECPS Group (Poland)

The quality is spot on tbh, it was delivered quickly (around a week) and Michal was very quick to answer messages through Facebook messenger.





This was all before brexit though and you will now need to pay VAT and a handling fee when it arrives in the UK + it might take a bit longer.

As others have said caveat mentor! I bought some CF parts from Poland and 6 weeks later a bill from Fedex arrives for £140 for duty. Actually meaning the part was more expensive than just getting from AstonMartinBits. It annoyed me because the seller clearly new but completely failed to mention this anywhere in their advert. When questioned they simply replied "you should know your governments policies, it's not my job to tell you". Which may well be true, we should know our own rules but I don't think it would hurt to actually let people know that the price they advertise is NOT the final price.

After a few months of arguing, finally this week Fedex issued a credit note. I wouldn't buy from that CF supplier again. So be cautious about the total cost

One more thing I have been told about from another owner was, they did have a problem with a V12 engine cover and sent it back, the new one arrived and they had to pay VAT + fee on that one as well even though the first one had been sent back.

It all worked out quite expensive in the end.

I would agree with you. When I placed my order in March I asked the question, and the answer I was given was simply that the taxes applicable in your own territory would be applicable. That was what I expected, and as such I think it’s rather hopeful to expect any supplier of anything to advertise all inclusive prices for every single country they ship to. The onus has to be on the buyer before ordering imho. What I would say though is that I didn’t expect to wait almost six months for the invoice from the courier. I guess that was a by product of the shipping issues that have beset everyone this year since Brexit. As far as I know though, the rules are due to change next month, which should mean that tax invoices will be issued a lot sooner, and hopefully that should eliminate the delay I and some others have experienced.

I am also mulling the idea of said carbon slam panel and a carbon grille to complete the carbon parts my N420 has from factory. I have no queries about the business been of high quality and legit, recently Red Pants did a video on them:

Just in case if I need it, how did you guys managed to remove the plaque "Handbuilt in England" to glue it back on the carbon part?

I agree. This is a completely unreasonable complaint to direct at the seller.

Only heard good things about them too. I am desperately looking for mirrors mounts in carbon fiber for my Vantage! If anybody knows where to find some!

I had my slam panel dipped with a carbon finish , cost about £120 iirc , too tight to buy a real carbon one not many people will see regardless.

Iirc I just eased it off with a flat screwdriver, I can’t remember if I used double sided tape to stick it back down or if it clicked back into place …..I’m getting old and can’t remember such details nowadays.
