Spring and damper upgrade for early 4,3 Vantage

Hello and hoping everybody enjoys the End of Year relaxing period.
I have just recently purchased a 2007 4,3L V8 Vantage Coupe. My car has a bit above 45 000 miles and has the original dynamics dampers which are on the way out as one developed a leak. I have seen several recommandations that when these need to be replaced it is better to upgrade to go with the more recent Bilsteins installed on the 2009 cars, which is what I am planning to do, anybody has good or bad experiences to share on such an upgrade?
How would the ride be after the upgrade compared to the original suspension, I hope to have it less crashy at low speed, was this the experience others had?
My understanding is that the parts to go for are the spring and damper assemblies 9G33-18B036-AE and 9G33-18W002-AE and the corresponding nuts and bolts. Is this correct? Anything else needs to be upgraded at the same time?
I have also read that there is some trick/drilling needed for the rear height adjustment, otherwise the car would sit too high at the rear, would anybody have a description of what I would need to do there?

There are a lot of threads/posts written about replacement shocks on here.
Several options to look at. As you will know the Dynamix are not rebuildable so will need replacing.
I know a few guys that have had the Bilsteins fitted and they love them.
It all depends on budget and you can find good used ones, someone on here recently found a set of four and can't believe the difference.
Bamford Rose do a set that can be remotely adjusted.
Nitron sell a set of road biased shocks through DAE (David Appleby Engineering), see CTR channel on YouTube.
Vantage Engineering have developed their own and can tailor make the set to your specific requirements. I can personally speak highly of these having had a set fitted earlier this year and they have now bedded in nicely. 5year warranty, rebuilbable, infinitely adjustable, lots of good tech in them, developed by ex Benneton F1 suspension and chassis engineer and having researched all options for me these were the best value.
Good luck with your search, whatever you go with will be much better than the stock shocks.
