Diag software: Jaguar IDS v118-5 for use on Aston Martins

So I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with using the Jag / Land Rover IDS v118-5 system on VH platform Astons? I was told that with a simple modification to the software it could be used on Astons, and I've seen some proof of it on Jag forums. Notice the option to select the Aston Martin make in the upper left corner of the software.



Trying to find a copy of this old software and authentic hardware that goes with it has been difficult, to say the least, but before I spend a bunch of money on eBay, I'd like to at least know it works first and what the capabilities are beyond a Foxwell or OBD reader.

I never used my IDS on Aston so cannot answer your question other than to say Aston was not an option on the top row back then.
I did use Jaguar software on DB7s with fairly good results on engine, ABS, airbags and transmission using my old Launch x431.
