Picked her up on Friday. I think this could be a keeper

What do people clean their wheels with given it has ceramic brakes?

Looks lovely! I’d recommend getting your wheels ceramic coated, makes cleaning much easier and like you said most wheel cleaners are too abrasive for carbon ceramics.

Congratulations on your car. It looks fantastic.

With regards to wheel cleaning, keep it very simple. One advantage of the carbon ceramic brakes is there is no brake dust, but the discs do not react well to strong chemicals or acidic wheel cleaners. So my advice would be just warm water, or a very mild soap/water solution. Francis on here (paddy328) is probably the best man to ask for advice on such things.

Lovely stuff buddy - congrats.

Would recommend Auto Finnesse Iron Out to remove anything stubborn - just spray on and leave to go pink then pressure wash off. Follow up with G-Techniq shampoo. Done.

I thought it would be a lot, lot less than that. They only produced them for a year or so? The DB9 that followed was half that amount over about 5 years? Happy to be corrected if my info is bad.

I am curious; what are the technical differences between the Virage and the later DB9 that followed the ending of the Virage line?

Somehow, and I don't know why, to me the Virage will always be a cool car and more than the sum of its (mainly marketing!) parts!

I have just been Googling, because I had the number of around 1000 in my head, gleaned somewhere in the past, but you got me questioning that which I wrote.

Yes I bought it from HWM. I also understand there were only 22 coupes in the UK. It's a lovely car, and I cannot wait for the better weather so I can get out more in it. After my McLaren this feels like Lexus build quality!

Such a beauty, these are my favourite Aston wheels also, classy car!

So I know they are a bit of db9 and dbs but what mix of those cars. Basically why pick this over a db9? How does it differ?

Water. The brake dust off ceramics doesn't burn into the wheel lacquer. Plus, you don't want to wreck the ceramic discs with cleaning products!
The Virage was actually the wider bodied DBS, with toned down appearance.
