2007 V8V drivers window stuck down

I have a 2007 V8V with a stuck window, well its not stuck anymore but the switch seems to be intermittent. Sometimes the window stops halfway up and i need to go down an inch then try up again. it goes up slowly near the top and sometimes stops. trying to work out of its the switch or the motor?

Would a auto electrician be the best bet? Im assuming he can test for 12v in between the module, the switch and the motor to see which is faulty? Can each of these parts be sourced once i know which needs replacing?

I'd try some lubricant in the window channels first. Put the window fully down then spray WD40 or similar into the channels. Then work the window up and down a few times.
