Hi all, well I've gone and bought my first AM (Vantage S) and I love it.
Thanks to all who have helped in my search, now I will have even more questions than I did before I bought the car..

Long time method of proving a car is yours and not some fantasy. Prove it by taking a pic with a tin of custard in shot.

OP goes back to ye olde days of 2003 - if what you say it's genuine take a photo of it with a tin of custard. And hence 'I'm calling custard' means 'I don't believe you'...

Always worth having a tin of custard in the cupboard
First time I heard the reference was on a TVR forum probably was around 2003 (as Simpo Two says) although they insisted a tin of Birds custard powder.
