Hello, All. It's time for me to replace my 2006 DB9's brake pads. My default is the Porterfield R4-S, but someone on 6SpeedOnline said he runs Akebono EU1129 pads on his Vantage. Steve McEvoy, on his Aston1936.com site, notes "The Brakes on a DB9 are actually made by Brembo, and they were fitted to more cars than the DB9 and Vantage. They are on the Corvette ZR1, Dodge Viper, Ford GT, Camero SS, Subaru STI and more."
Does anyone here have any experience with Akebonos on a DB9?
Thanks.

I don't have experience of those pads, but fitted Portfields to my DB9 a couple of months ago and they are night and day better than the OEM pads. They stop the car mpore efficiently, feel nicer when braking, don't squeal and create less dust. I can't recommend them highly enough.
