Finally an Aston Martin owner
Discussion
So after 4 years of over paying the mortgage with everything we had, so I could get an Aston Martin, the mortgage was finally sorted out in February, and on Friday I actually got my hands on an Aston Martin Vantage, 2013. It's been a very long wait, but well worth it.
So picked her up from Aston Martin in Brentwood, it had all the things I wanted, except the embodied 'S' seats and the colour. However, after waiting over 4 and half years, the colour took a bit of a back seat. We went to the Aston event at Beaulieu , and as soon as I saw all of them I thought, I don't care what colour it is, it's an Aston Martin. The colour I have is still superb.
So attached is compulsory picture, but so far so good. FAMSH, glass buttons, the paint condition is superb, as is the interior, whoever had before certainly looked after it, Timeless warranty. Had it detailed by the dealer, as part of an offer, along with the wheel insurance, and its ceramic coated, the paintwork looks stunning.
So its now tucked up in the garage waiting for the next sunny day, although we took it to Aston Martin Works yesterday, so I could get a T shirt!. Compared to my current car which I bought in 2006, Ford Focus ST, the Aston has so many things I have never had...
Sat Nav, reversing camera, led lights in the door handles, a proper clock, paddle shifting, electric seats, folding wing mirrors, auto dimming mirror, remote file cap release , I am truly spoilt!!!
Finally, a huge thanks for forum member , LTP, who reached out and offered to me meet a few times, and he showed me around his Vantage and I grilled him for hours on every possible question on buying and owning such a lovely car. Thanks mate, much appreciated.
Thanks all
Kevin

Congrats and welcome the world of the Aston tax
Anything with the Aston wings on does tend to come with a suitable millionaire type premium attached, however this forum.can often help by suggesting jag or ford parts as direct replacements so all is not lost.
However so as to not pee on ones parade you will no doubt find its a tax worth paying if smiles per mile are your barometer.
Great looking car and you will love ownership or is it custodianship?
Enjoy

You're more than welcome as it was a pleasure sharing my enthusiasm while drinking the coffees and eating the lunches you bought. Congratulations on achieving Aston Martin ownership - nice looking car. Thanks all
Kevin
Now you need to sort out a physiotherapist ready to treat the "Aston Martin Neck" you're going to develop from continually looking back over your shoulder at it as you walk away when you park.
.I bet the eyebrows of all those German-saloon-owning neighbours shot up when that purred down the street
