Virage 2012 - Rear Light Unit Condensation

I have a 2012 Virage that has recently developed some condensation inside the rear light units after the car's been washed. Short of replacing the entire units - approx £1000 per unit - I wondered if there's a known fix for this? Thanks.

remove from the car, 3 nuts each side. Separate the two parts of the light (need some very gentle heating in the oven,) dry out, drill out a hole in the bottom and cover with a gore-tex patch (this allows any future moisture that manages to get in to escape again without letting any moisture in), then reseal with a decent silicon like (I use black silkaflex)

Be careful tightening back up to the body, too tight or uneven tightening will pull the unit out of shape and cause leaks again.

My Virage has the same issue so I just try and keep the jet wash away from the rear lights when I am washing the car!
