Rise in rates here have really increased the monthly cost of a new Vantage. I leased my 2020 16 months ago for $1,300’month. That same lease on 2022 Vantage with a lower MSRP is close to $2,500/month. One would expect these increases will lower Aston’s sales here in the states and cause a further erosion in profits and stock performance. Must also be happening in other global markets.

I am guessing that those rates are based on a fixed rate over the term? If so, then have they just priced in anticipated future rate rises?

I believe that you are correct. I must say that new Vantage cars are in very short supply here and many dealers are asking over sticker.

You probably have a special rate. These Vantages didn't sell well so AM discounted the hell out of the leases to reduce inventory.

Many DBX vehicles available. My lease was timed to the flood of Palmer cars but believe me the costs have gone up several times.
The listed MSRP on my car was before they cut the listed prices.

IIRC, the $1300 wasn't strictly a function of rates. It was more a function to clear excess inventory.

There was a bit of history to that price. Early on the Vantage had a very good reception, and Andy Palmer in a burst of over-enthusiastic zeal built way too many cars and they were sitting on dealer lots. Then Covid hit and that was the double whammy.

Seems like Aston inventory levels are just getting normalized. It's going to be harder to find bargains in the future, particularly with Stroll's stated goals of going upmarket.

Should be interesting to see how all this pans out.

Seems like the DBX kind of flooding the dealer stock now. The DBX is another Palmer/Reichman disaster in design. Reichman like Palmer should be axed IMO. How he hangs on is a mystery to me.
