Bought a new Aston 1-1/2 years ago. I was told that a 3 year subscription to the Aston quarterly magazine was gratis. Haven’t received an issue in ages. Has publication been suspended as a cost cutting measure? Live in the states.
Thanks much.

I'm in a similar situation ( US based).

I called Aston last year and told them I never received my magazine. I was told that there was a decision to terminate the (free) subscriptions for the Timeless Warranty holders. ( I think as of Jan 2021) Of course, I mentioned that it seems rather petty (and of questionable integrity) canceling subscriptions to people they had already agreed to the original terms. The answer was pretty much "Tough, that's life".

My first, but not last, experience with garbage customer service from Stroll's "Ultra-Luxury" brand.

I don’t think anyone has bought an Aston for the magazine 4 times a year,
I normally get one free when I got into the showroom or service dept.
The magazine is ok but hardly something I would make a big deal about.
Aston driver magazine has just started this year and is a pretty good read

I also subscribed to Aston Driver. Just got the second issue along with lots of emails about renewing my subscription (I signed up for a year only 3 months ago!!)
Don’t think it’s as good as the Vantage Magazine. Cheap paper etc.

Of course, nobody buys a car for the accompanying magazine, but when a product is promised then it is reasonable to expect it.

IMO, Aston, unilaterally and precipitously cancelling the magazine to customers just shows a complete lack of respect for the customer. So much for the "Ultra- Luxury" experience.

There’s presumably a Google Play equivalent.

Yup…that looks like the same magazine to me. Starts at issue 47 when I was told issue 46 was the cutoff for sending out the magazine to warranty holders. The online version was never mentioned.

Why am I not surprised Aston never notified subscribers of the online option? ( yes, I did check my emails to see if I got any notice.)

I bought an approved used car in March this year and I too was told I would receive the magazine and of course I haven't received anything.
All I can find is this

Taken from here

On the Apple app, the last four issues have been free downloads. Maybe it’s a way for Aston to deal with legacy purchasers and they will charge going forward at some point.

Having been in the publishing business and looking at production, printing and mailing costs they probably decided it was too expensive to produce. Short sighted to me.

If you are missing an Aston magazine in your life, you may enjoy a read of this: https://issuu.com/nicholasmee/docs/fullbore_issue3...

And previous issues available via the same link.

We got our copy a few weeks ago, but then again we bought our cars new, not used and the AMR it's still in the first 3 years.

Seems like this cost saving step is aimed at used vehicle buyers first which I guess makes sense really if you are going to have to save costs somewhere. Wouldn't surprise (or bother) me if new buyers were next though. I'd rather see AM make some money.

Personally I never find it all that interesting, as its always full of things I already know about the cars from either here, other forums or chats with mates, and most pages just seem to be adverts for super yachts and £100k watches, neither of which I am ever likely to buy.

If the advertising covers the production costs they could continue to give it away.
