It's an old photoshop of the camo car https://www.topgear.com/car-news/british/snapped-n... Note: this photoshop has been around since 2017/2018.

I'd quite like it if AM revised the bonnet & side strakes like that.

Make the V12 part of the standard range & they'd be on to a winner.

something about that photoshop job looks ferrari 599 to me, in the angle of the hood curving down towards the grill.

Is this a close match?

The Aston Martin DB10

Take a (VH) 4.7 V8 Vantage Roadster manual, alter some of the body panels, build ten cars and everything was ready for the James Bond film Spectre.

One of those ten cars was later auctioned, with the proceeds being donated to charity.

Here is the background and build story.

Obviously we will never know the answer, but I do sometimes wonder what would have happened if the DB10 had been put in to production and labelled as new Vantage, rather than the new Vantage that was released at the end of 2017. If the DB10 had been viewed as the “concept” perhaps production versions may have looked slightly different, particularly inside, but surely the Spectre connection (à la DBS in Casino Royale) would have made it a bigger hit than the car we ended up with. I still find it somewhat galling that Sam Mendes poached the design, and as a result Reichman ended up producing a different car. Regarding the OPs picture, I would agree that it just looks like a photoshop rehash and I think it’s highly unlikely that the rumoured refresh would be leaked this far in advance. We shall see I guess.

I still do not understand how a film producer can nick, or prevent, a car company from building a car. Surely AML should have simply said, "Sam, that's the new vantage, you can use it in your film if you want, take it or leave it." scratchchin

i bet there was more to it than that.... the initial "hunter" version of the new vantage is far more aggressive and differentiated ( yet ugly IMHO). but I bet the DB10 was a design concept sketch, but highly bet it was Marek that keep developing that "look" into the new vantage. Maybe AP told him to make it more differentiated ( something about his mum telling them apart?). Really doubt Sam could have cared if the Vantage went into production looking like that etc.

Now why they used the name DB10 and not something about "vantage" I don't know. They should have marketed it as the vantage concept or something.
