Maserati Granturismo to Aston Martin?

As above. Contemplating changing my Maser for an Aston. I need 4 seats & a decent boot. Not fussed about manual box as I have other cars to cater for that need.
Recommendations please up to £100k.

The DB9 and DBS rear seats are only really suitable for children, so 4 seats then points to a Rapide.

Ditto. Much under-rated car IMHO, the Aston nobody seems to talk about but which can actually do a useful job.

I did exactly that, moving from a GranTurismo 4.2 to a V8 Vantage 4.7 N420.

I liked both, but if I have to pick, I'll take the Aston. Better interiors, more exotic (at least in Italy), better build quality, more beautiful even if the Maserati has a great design too.

Soundtrack: they are different, I had a Larini backbox on the GT and it was the typical Italian higher pitched F1 kind-of sound. The Aston has the factory stock valved sport box and is more rumbly, deeper... more British I would say.

I will not comment on the driving feeling since you need the 4 seats, so I believe they will be both grand tourers-like from this point of view. The Rapide boot looks bigger than the relatively small one in the Maserati.

Rapide - it is the ONLY modern Aston that actually is a true 4 seater. The other models are at best 2+2 and in reality only tiny kids could ever fit in the rear seats and even then only if the adult in the front pulls the seats forward so much that they then have very little legroom themselves. The Rapide rear door entry better suit teenagers or more nimble bodied adults but once inside there is a huge amount of room and leg room even for a large adult. I am 6ft and 14st and I am very comfortable in the rear seats of our Rapide.

With £100k budget you could get any Rapide except the AMR really. So look for a nice Rapide S Shadow Edition as thats the best version otherwise.
