Aston Martin Rapide S - What is this?

Hi All,

Recently bought a Rapide S and noticed in the windscreen, this little box, no branding or part numbers, it appears to be wired into the dash.

Any ideas?

Definitely not original equipment...

Some kind of tracking unit or comms unit Id guess.

Maybe the car used to be a Minicab or something?

As Adam says not origonal, maybe an extra aerial for radio or phone?

Electronic gate release or maybe a toll tag but def not an AM original

Any brand name or trade mark on the plastic casing? That might give you a clue, but I agree with all the previous posters that it does not look OE, especially with a trailing power/signal lead
