Hello All

I just wanted to share my solution to holding my telephone in my DB9 without drilling or clamping. I found that a piece of hard wood I had left from some repairs to our conservatory was a good width fit for the oddments area. After some cutting and sanding I covered it in leather and screwed the ram mount ball to it. The rest is standard ram mount phone holder. I had to add another strip of leather around it after testing as it wasn't tight enough and wobbled annoyingly.

Well done, I like to see a bit of ingenuity. I had a TVR with that colour interior.

The centre console of a DB9, especially the earlier ones without a storage box, may look cool but is a practical disaster. At least my phone fits behind the strap because it's about 50 years old smile

Cool, I tried to find too some sort of holder that I could clamp to the small leather strip there, but I failed. smile

Similar set up to mine, I 3D printed a stand and attached a Quad Lock charger mount.
(Please excuse the dust, Roadster)

I took a similar approach, except I cut a piece of aluminium so I could use a suction mount, then I installed some a/v connections, such as a USB port for a music thumb drive and a lightning cable to charge and connect my iPhone.

Love the ingenuity of those. I might take some inspiration from them.
