I was pleasantly surprised last week when I booked my vantage in for its biannual service at the aston workshop beamish, I wanted a courtesy car and first they said all they had was a one series BMW which was not a problem to me. However when I arrived there they lent me a db7! Great service and really friendly folk who work there. Last time they dropped us off at beamish museum for the day then picked us up later in the day. We stayed the night at their hotel next door. I also had a look around their facilities. Great experience and discounts for both the hotel and museum.

Nice. Mine is booked into Nicholas Mee next month for a service and they don't offer courtesy cars at all - but maybe it keeps prices down? NB If anyone here has used them, how were they?

Price for service less than main dealers (not by much!) and I felt I was getting a better service. It was a bit of a shock to work out in my 4 years of ownership the furthest I have driven the car is for services!. I have only done 3k miles in the four years and only 400miles in the last year with 100 of those for the service!

Went to Beamish a few months back and enjoyed it.

I only do about 1,000 miles a year in my DB7.

Probably half of those are to get it serviced or buy petrol or just to give it a run out as not been used for a few weeks.

Need to make more of an effort to get out and about to car meets.

Must be a thing as, despite averaging less than 3,000 miles a year over it's life, the mileage is probably about average for a DB7.
