V12v seat issue HELP!

So I needed to disconnect the battery.

Wound the seat all the way forward

When I reconnected the battery I found the seat would not go back. Rear of base height adjustment went up but now won’t go down.

Backrest goes back and forth still.

I have tried all the reset paraphernalia to no avail.

Passenger seat works fine.

Any thoughts most welcomed as I cannot even get in the car to move it.

I remember reading that you have to bring the seat bottom all the way forward and up I believe and the backrest all the way forward to reset everything and allow the full movement of the seat again

Yup I’ve read that but it is all the way forward and all the way up already.

Ahh, sounds similar to what happened to me. My seat modules needed replacing but was under warranty, I hope yours is something simple.

I disconnected my battery on my 2015 V8V and left it off for about 20 mins to try to address a different issue and, when I reconnected, the driver's seat was fine but the passenger's seat wouldn't move. I kept trying the switch in random directions and slowly, adjustment by adjustment, it gradually came back to life.

So if you haven't, you could try just keep operating the seat switch in the various directions of movement and adjustment to see if it eventually wakes up - highly unscientific, not in line with any known procedure but it worked for me.

Update
After pushing and fiddling and holding the various switches in different directions, the bad went down and the front and managed to move the base back. No movement on back of base.

BUT that’s it, it’s no longer working in any direction and I was beginning to think it’s the switch but the memory preset only moves the mirrors

If you are lucky you may now have blown a fuse to give the no movement currently. Several fuses mention seat so look there in the manual and the footwell.
Of course your (other?) problem will probably remain.
My V12V had a couple of seat issues over the years especially regarding memory when my battery went flat after a powercut whilst I was away and the car was connected to the AM style charger.
I think all V12's, being after 2009, have the slightly later battery backed memory that improves one the pre 2009 cars which I think need the fully forward....fully up...etc after every battery disconnect. However our cars are now old enough that this mk1b systems battery? is probably near US. (Like our trackers)
Later cars possibly 2012 onwards? have a newer control module still but these need replacing in pairs if you have the older units as I mention. They need programming in so it needs to be AM network who do this.

Mine’s a 2013.

It’s strange that it did partially work again then not.

Backrest continues to work. But I will check fuses.
