V12S Sports shift hydraulic lines

Hi Guys,
My V12s is being serviced, the video that was sent by the technician identified deterioration to the 2 hydraulic pipes that operate the Sports shift, they said it wasn’t urgent, but a potential job for next year. The braided hoses were slightly mottled near the securing clips, I would guess the 2 pipes are 20mm in diameter, 25cm long.
The task of replacement looks relatively straightforward, although I am no mechanic. The AM dealer said the replacement cost is prohibitively expensive at £ 1,600.00, can I just ask if anyone has had these pipes replaced out of the main dealer network, and if so, what the likely replacement cost might be?
That aside, smitten with this car, I’m happily forgiving any maintenance demands….( even with £150.00 wiper blades )

By coincidence, this was the only real note on my service last week (2018 V12 Vantage AMR, SportShift III) by HWM. The two pipes circled below were identified as something to keep an eye on...
As per you, not an urgent job. But "they all do that, Sir" kinda thing. Perhaps needs attention next year or the year after.
The high replacement cost (I wasn't given a number) is the result of it being a gearbox-out job.
Mine still has extended AM warranty for another two years and this is covered. But it needs to start weeping before they will do the job. I see that both ways, but as it's not an issue at present, OK.

Absolutely 100% the same as AM supplied ones, except they have a “bosch” logo on them.
£23 a set on Amazon and super easy to clip out and back on again. 30 seconds job each side.

The ASM return pipes. Infamous. Mine were noted in 2021. And again in 2022. Both times by the same garage, with video. The two videos show negligible deterioration 21-22 to my uneducated eye. I was also quoted £1600 on the basis it is gearbox out. DAE offer upgraded replacements (from AP Velocity, I suspect) at about £700 incl fitting. I’m sure I’ve read somewhere that they can be changed without removing the gearbox but I can’t find where I read that now.
The problem with this issue is that (as your dealer I doubt told you) if they go, you lose drive immediately and get to sit by the side of the road for a few hours. What I don’t get though is that they look like they are steel braided pipes with a rubber-esque outer and it’s the outer that’s cracking. But does that really mean the inner is vulnerable to splitting and sudden loss of fluid?

If the work can be done elsewhere for £700.00, I’ll be going down that route - I can’t see why the gearbox would need to be removed, but as I say, I am no mechanic……
The hoses can be replaced without removing the transmission, but you have to be very careful removing the hose from the fitting at the top of the gearbox as this is plastic and can break, when you replace it you need a jubilee clip rather than the non reusable ones. There is very little pressure in the hoses as one supplies the pump and the other is a return to the reservoir.
