vantage 4.3 cold start ----r.p.m. engine

I wanted to ask, --- when you start the Vantage, 2006 v8 4.3, the engine revolutions stay at 900 rpm or does it start, accelerated over 1500 rpm, in mine it starts over 1 200..500 and after a few minutes it stabilizes around 900... that's right, thanks

Yes, initial higher rpm - then quickly idles down. Entirely normal.

High idle when starting cold is pretty normal for all cars

I thonk they have quite a long open loop warm up.

If I pull off the drive straight away after starting you can feel the idle control vale driving the car a 30mph in 3rd down the street.

My assumption is that theres a lot of engine/coolant/oil to warm through.
