Haven’t seen anything positive since early this year when a possible reversal of withdrawal from WEC/Le Mans and unwinding of Red Bull ties announced early 2020 came up.

Ferrari, Toyota, Peugeot and some others to be there with the LMH (Hypercar) class, and Porsche (plus Porsche privateers), Cadillac and some others from LMDh (Daytona hypercar) from IMSA Weathertech SC (American LM series).

Pretty much all the manufacturers have gone hybrid - AMR Pro Valkyrie cut free of regs went ICE.

LMH cars slower than 2017 LMP1 class which hit average of 156.5 mph over a lap (10 seconds or so a lap down over 8.5 mile circuit) have to have a downforce/drag ratio which is within certain limits.

Valkyrie designed as a true Hypercar to match/better LMP1 speeds I believe.

LM going to be great for 2023 (and 2024). As God not entering a team, I think GTE Am (Amateur driver - one out of the 3) with Northwest car, TF Sports and possible one other AM will be limit for AML involvement. GTE Pro no more, but AM had already pulled out a year or so back. Shame as used to get a AM support race every 3 years (like Porsche and Ferrari).

Had TFSport winning class this year with Northwest on the podium.

WEC is surely the right home for AM with F1 being a massive mis-step, one of my three AM purchases was right after the last LM the VH Vantage competed at in 2019. Cars that look and sound like a car you can buy is a great advert - putting stickers on someone elses F1 car, (for me) less so. Would be great to see Vantages and the Valkyrie competing on the same circuit.
