QuickSilver cat delete

On the 4.7 Vantage they claim 16bhp. Hard to notice a few percent increase on a 420bhp 1600Kg car, although it did seem a bit more responsive, mostly it was about the improved sound

I know we're all used to paying an "Aston Tax" but £912 for a couple of bits of pipe with a flange each end !!!!!!!

Thank goodness I went to my local exhaust specialist who made my V12 decat pipes for a 1/3 of that price.

Yep...I know...the price seems to have doubled over the last 5 years. Thank goodness I went to my local exhaust specialist who made my V12 decat pipes for a 1/3 of that price.

When I bought those same QS parts for my 4.7 in 2015 they were £500 and 90 mins labour at my local garage
Must be inflation, as a sports back box was £1400 ish and now they are over £2k...still makes those cat delete pipes expensive
During the first couple of years production of the 4.7, each pair of single cats contained two 'bricks'.
I think it was a continuation of the 4.3 exhaust system.
The simple decat mod is therefore to internally remove the 900 cell 'bricks', leaving the 400 cell 'bricks' in place.
Cannot remove both, because there would then not be any cats in the system.
Following that concept, instead of buying empty tubes for £912, why not just remove the original internals ?
From about 2010 onwards, legislation required primary cats in manifolds, so that is why you are able to talk about complete removal of the secondary cats.
