Removing the Polarizing Film from the Radio Display

I thought I would take some time from by current project of fixing the Navigation which has refused to rotate, to post on my website my latest project.

Removing the polarizing film from the radio display.

This was a PIA project but I believe doable my most DIY’s

Thorough indeed! Mine is fine, but if it wasn't - could it be dealt with in situ (after suitable masking off)? It seems that 99% of the work is taking the dash apart.

You cannot do this in situ. The part you see is a plastic "window" on top of the radio display behind it.
Not my car at the Orlando dealership. However I do go to that dealership even though the one in St Petersburg Florida is closer to me.

I'm afraid that I took the easy way out of this dilemma by pasting a rectangular slice of glossy black vinyl wrap over the HCAV/radio display. This has perfectly covered the delaminated display (The content of which I have no interest in viewing anyway.)

Does this improve the visibility when wearing polarized sunglasses?

I have a Volante and often wear sunglasses when driving and find I have to tilt my head 45 degrees to read this panel and/or the main digital display on the dash. Mine is undamaged but I was thinking of removing the polarized film just to make it easier to read.

I don’t know. I certainly would not remove something that is currently undamaged without knowing for sure that it would fix your issues.
