Aston Martin DB9 Headlights
Discussion
Hi i'm new to piston heads and hoping that you can help me out. I have a 2006 DB9 that suffers with condensation in the headlights especially after washing the car or getting caught in the rain. I know that Astons official fix is to use silica gel packs in the back of the headlights but i think we all agree that is just nonsense. I have heard that there is an upgrade fan kit that can be fixed to the back of the headlamp to aid air circulation, has any body out there got one and does it work?
Also where do i get one?

This post seems to have a solution from AMUPGRADES?

It's not really a big deal unless the cosmetic aspect of it annoys you. My V8V suffers from it but it's not enough to make me do anything about it.

Good for you, it annoyed the hell out of me and the family member owner of the car when Aygo headlights fogged up (Toyota changed them under warranty) so i too would be cheesed off to say the least to find condensation in your beasties lights. Can't believe AM think gel bags is a solution, the mind boggles, Japanese engineers would likely be shamed to the final act if that was the best they could do on a sporting Lexi or Century.
Thanks for your help guys, i have now managed to get in touch with AM Upgrades and i am ordering the vent pack for my DB9.
If anybody wants to get in touch with them you have to send them a email to amupgrades@gmail.com
They did reply within the hour with a list of items they can supply im also looking at buying the bespoke jack pads to lift the car.
