Hi all

Have happily recently purchased a 2009 V8V sportshift. Very happy!

Ive noticed that the near side rear light does not fully light red in the innermost upper section. Im just checking the obvious that it's not fog only or something for this section, as this part is lit on offside light.

Failing LED elements. It’s very common, probably as a result of water ingress at some point. The light clusters are easy to remove, take about 5mins. Then they need to be split for repair, or replaced.

Good news - there are companies who will repair the units, no need to spend a grand on a new one. Checkout the FAQ section for the answer you need.

Surely it’s the offside that isn’t fully lit?

This is a common issue with Aston Martin rear lights. Luckily most of their cars from that era use the same light so they are relatively common. I bought second hand ones when dead LEDs happened but if I were in the UK I would have repaired them instead.

Thanks I've decided to bite the bullet and change to clear lights...it swung the decision for me.
